Savannah River Environmental Sciences Field Station is located in a 198,000 acre DOE property. Students study the different environmental conditions and habitats found in south-eastern United States.

Students study colonization of aquatic organisms after several years of thermal pollution.

The Savannah River Environmental Sciences Field Station exposes minority students and women to the fun of studying science and mathematics outdoors.

At the Savannah River Environmental Sciences Field Station, students do not only deal with their professors alone, they are exposed to the different scientists that work at Savannah River Site. Here introduction to Environmental Science students study fish diversity with a USDA Fisheries Biologist.
