

It was a fair winter day when SCSU hosted some 35 high school students accompanied by 14 teachers and 24 SCSU faculty members for the first STEM Day event.
The STEM Program at SCSU is funded by a NSF HBCU-UP grant which strives to to build the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and research capacity at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) as a means to broaden participation in the Nation's STEM workforce. HBCU-UP grants provive support for Implementation Projects, Planning Grants, Education Research Projects, and Targeted Infusion Projects.
