SCSU CNRT Participates in Planning Session at DePaul University

Dr. Donald Walter attended a planning session at DePaul University on June 17,2005. Other institutions in attendance included Medgar Evers College, Illinois State University, Northwestern University and several community colleges in the Chicago area.

The session was hosted by the NASA-funded DePaul University Broker/Facilitator.

The purpose of the session was to organize and plan a future series of workshops that would train faculty members at community colleges and universities in the Chicago area in the use of NASA mission data, specifically analysis of imagery in space and earth science.

SCSU and Medgar Evers are to serve as trainers for the workshops. The two institutions have collaborated on a number of projects, including a pilot image processing workshop held at SCSU in July 2002.
